Service generally begins at 10:30 a.m. Weekend ending times differ: the fair’s visitor information lists service until approximately 12:30 a.m. on Saturdays and 11:30 p.m. on Sundays, depending on the departure location. Buses are expected about every 30 minutes, but the exact timetable is not identical at every stop. Choose one of six pickup locations
The six departure points are spread across north, central, coastal and south Orange County. The best location is not always the one that appears closest on a map. Anaheim riders can board at the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center, commonly known as ARTIC, near Katella Avenue. For coastal visitors, the Huntington Beach location may be more practical than driving inland to another station, but coastal traffic can still affect the first and final part of the day. OCTA accepts payment methods described on its current service information, including Wave payment options, contactless payment and exact cash. Youth age 18 and younger need the appropriate Wave card to use the free-youth program; being under 19 does not necessarily remove the need to carry the required fare credential.
Express buses drop passengers near the Yellow Gate area on the east side of the fairgrounds. Even when driving is the better choice, the same planning principles apply: buy admission first, arrive earlier than the busiest period, confirm the correct entrance and expect traffic near the fairgrounds.
